Message from Kilkhampton Parish Council
Following the extremely sad news of the death of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II – we are able to confirm the following arrangements in the Parish of Kilkhampton.
There is a book of condolence available in the Church of St James’s which will remain there until the of the day following the State Funeral.
Floral tributes may be placed from Thursday evening along each side of the path, leading up to the Church door from Lych gate. Please remove all plastic/cellophane prior to laying flowers. All flowers will be removed at 9am the day AFTER the funeral
On Saturday 10th September; the Principal Proclamation will be made at St James’s Palace. During this time the Union Flag will return to Full Mast from 11am that day, until 1pm the following day (Sunday). They will then be lowered to half mast again until the end of mourning after the funeral.
On Sunday 11th September; following the County Level Proclamations. A Proclamation will be read at 6.15pm, at Lych Gate, St James’s Church by our Parish Council Vice Chairman – Mr Kingsley Bryant.
